# Setting up Assess for Learning

On first launch you will need to complete the apps Settings.

Complete all required fields to setup your connection, note that all required fields must contain a valid entry or a general error will be returned on save:

1. **Connected App Consumer Key**: Required text field. Paste the connected app **key** value as described above.
2. **Connected App Consumer Secret**: Required text field. Paste the connected app **secret** value as described above.
3. **Open API Key**: Required text field. Paste the key from your **OpenAI** account dashboard here.
4. **Enable Assess for Learning** checkbox: Check this checkbox to enable Assess for Learning for your Account. This will activate AI features including assessment submission, scoring and feedback.
5. **Save** the setup configuration.
