# Pedagogies & Objectives

## Pedagogies & Objectives

This section reveals how you can link **teaching frameworks** (Bloom’s, SOLO, and more) to **actionable learning objectives**—so you can track not just “what” learners do, but “how well” they do it.

***

### Pedagogy: The Framework

A **Pedagogy** in the LDM is a named approach or methodology (e.g., **Bloom’s Taxonomy**).\
You can define **up to six levels** to reflect the complexity or depth of learning.

> **Example**:
>
> * Level 1: Remembering
> * Level 2: Understanding
> * …
> * Level 6: Creating

***

#### Creating a Pedagogy

1. **Navigate** to **Pedagogies & Objectives** tab.
2. **Click** “New Pedagogy.”
3. **Enter**:
   * **Name:** A pedagogy name.
   * **Type:** Bloom’s Taxonomy, Custom, etc.
   * **Description:** (Optional) Provide a detailed description of the pedagogy.
   * **Level Name:** Name of level within the pedagogy (create up to 6 levels).
   * **Level Verb:** Action verb for this level.

### Objectives: The Actionable Goals

An **Objective** is a measurable statement of what learners will achieve. For instance:

* “Learners will **analyze** 3 case studies using advanced marketing metrics.”

#### Creating an Objective

1. **From** the **Pedagogy Details** page, locate the related **Objectives** list.
2. **Click** “New Objective.”
3. **Set**:
   * **Name:** e.g. “Analyze marketing case studies”.
   * **Level:** Select the level of the objective based on the pedagogy.
   * **Description:** Provide a detailed description of the learning objective.
   * **Learning Pedagogy:** Select the associated Learning Pedagogy for this objective.
4. **Click** "Save".

### Updating & Deleting

* **Pedagogies**: Edit or delete from the pedagogy details page.
* **Objectives**: Edit or delete from the objective details page.

### Assigning Objectives Across the LDM

You can link Objectives to:

* **Curricula, Pathways, Courses, Modules**
* **Assessments, Tasks, Resources**
* **Rubrics & Criteria**
* **Learning Groups**

This ensures your entire ecosystem is **objective-driven**, providing clarity to learners and stakeholders alike.

> **Pro Tip**: Align Objectives with your Rubrics for **coherent scoring**. If an Objective says “analyze,” your Rubric criteria can measure **analysis depth**.
